Governor Tony Evers and Senator Tammy Baldwin recently announced a $140 million investment to expand access to technology and broadband connectivity in the Badger State thanks to the American Rescue Plan.

Out of the $140 million investment, $33 million will be used for digital connectivity technology projects, including grant programs to support nonprofits installing computers and Wi-Fi in targeted multi-dwelling units.

The remaining $107 million will be used for multi-purpose community facility projects to fund the state’s Flexible Facilities program, a grant program to help communities fund improvements to facilities like libraries and community centers.
